At a time when the world needs someone to save it, hollywood obliges, dont know what Im talking about I suggest we review the movie releases of the past year:

The list is endless with more movies scheduled to be released, in 2011, 2012 and 2013 such as:
The psychology of this is interesting, go hollywood with your study of the masses and such. Feeding off human misery to create false hope in the form of flying/mutated/extraordinary men that will roll in the money. My favourite one is captain america "America, where heroes are made." guess the rest of the world is up for grabs then. Sorry Benazir Butto, Ghandi, Salah Al Deen heroes are only made in America.

Or perhaps this will inspire the few of us who still have anything left to be "inspired".

  1. a highly thought provoking blog there, yet I can't help with your wording is that heroes are 'only made in america', for if you read again captain american's slogan, although misleading and shards elements of xenophobic belief that anyone outside of the US is seen as a hero without labelled as a terrorist or 'outcast' (with the first two having to die from the bullet to be given a martyr status), does not strictly stipulate that americans are the sole breeders of heroes.

Thank you for reading and commenting!

The captain America slogan is a perfect example of Americas political stand on most issues and hollywoods history in creating American heroes. When theres an alien invasion, America to the rescue when there are weapons of mass destruction again, america to the "rescue".

If you re-read my post I did not write that anyone that isnt American is a terrorist or outcast, rather that was what you wrote. This further shows what the effect of movies is, because everyone else is alway either a terrorist or and outcast.

The slogan is "America, where heroes are made" or something of the like. Just because the word "only" isnt in there does not make it any less of an insult to the rest of the world.
In the end, this is but another marketing stunt that no one should take personally :)

    I enjoyed your comment :)
